Thought Leadership
Video and the Art of Plaintiff Storytelling is a practical guide for plaintiff attorneys who want to better understand when, why and how to use video to strengthen a case.
Drawing on decades of storytelling experience, Jon Camp explores how video can bring together evidence, emotion and humanity—helping turn medical records, testimony and damages into a cohesive story that people can see, hear and feel.
From Video Settlement Brochures and Day-in-the-Life videos to real-world case studies, the book offers a straightforward look at using video strategically to communicate loss, create meaningful value and help move cases toward resolution.
Video and the Art of Plaintiff Storytelling is what busy plaintiff lawyers need: a quick, easy, and genuinely informative guide to helping clients’ stories be seen, understood, and remembered.
Jon explains not only why video is so powerful, but when to use it (and not), and how to deploy it strategically. His real-world case studies make the book practical. - Robby Jessup / Howard Stallings
Attorney Review
Communications as a craft.
After ending his 20-year, Emmy-winning run in TV news, CampSight founder Jon Camp has taken the sum total of his experience and used it to shed light on the subject of “Communications.”
In the process, Jon has become a leader in the art - and science - of persuasion storytelling; and, under the banner of “Communications Breakdown,” Jon has explored the strategy and tactics behind successful communications efforts in myriad ways:
AUTHORSHIP: Jon’s first book, Communications Breakdown, is a “field guide,” intended to help professional communicators (PIOs, Communications Directors, etc.) understand the news industry and teach them how to pitch stories and get results.
PODCAST: Jon spearheaded a 6-episode “deep-dive” podcast under the same name: Communictions Breakdown examining the craft of communications from different angles by pulling in experts from an array of fields. Together, they explore the challenges and opportunities in robust communication as well as techniques being used today by professional communicators.
CONFERENCE: Jon hosted a conference in Raleigh, NC, pulling in national experts and bringing together dozens of professional communicators from around the state to build and hone their craft.
Jon continues to lead conversations around comms and a host of other topics. Clients and other groups frequently turn to Jon as an MC or guest on podcasts, video-chats, group forums, and more.
