Who we are
CampSight Communications came to life in 2017, when Emmy-winning reporter Jon Camp stepped out of the lights of television news and started a new storytelling company in Raleigh, NC.
The idea was simple: to make the world a little better, one story at a time.
He started by working with an array of non-profits, helping groups that give voice to Veterans, fight the stigma of substance use disorder and advocate for people as we age.
Soon after, Jon began producing Video Settlement Brochures and it all came into focus. From his earliest steps in TV news, Jon’s goal was to report for “60 Minutes.” Now, he scratches that itch every day, telling plaintiffs’ stories as a kind of long-form advocacy journalism, or “persuasion storytelling.”
Today, Jon has produced dozens of videos for attorneys across North Carolina and the Southeast. They’re all uniquely crafted to tell very specific stories but they have one thing in common – Jon’s storytelling.
CampSight’s secret weapon is Jon’s ability to elicity the most compelling testimony from plaintiffs and experts, then to arrange those puzzle pieces into exactly the right picture for the purpose at hand.
Jon still frequently works with non-profits (learn more about that here) but he’s focused on building CampSight’s portfolio of plaintiff attorneys and helping bring relief, peace, and justice to people who’ve had their lives turned upside down through no fault of their own.
